Edicts

Edicts are ways to increase your kingdom’s Stability, Economy, and Loyalty.

  • Promotions might include advertisements or propaganda. Recruitment campaigns for a burgeoning population would also fall under this category. Dropping recruitment to zero may negatively affect population growth.
  • Taxation is exactly what you expect. The fine details of exactly how taxes are levied (income, sales, number of windows in one’s house, length of one’s beard, etc.) are up to you to work out. Do bear in mind, however, that the GM is paying attention. Tax the number of children in a household, for example, and you may find your stability decreasing.
  • Festivals deplete the coffers, but the populace does love its bread and circuses. You are expected to actually agree upon and name festivals.
